→Runtime system

Neuron RTS max is the →PLC runtime system of Neuron that is subject to costs. Neuron Power Engineer requires Neuron RTS max in order to be able to address a →PLC (also known as a →target system). 2 kernel variants of Neuron RTS max are available: the standard kernel and the micro kernel.

The Neuron RTS max installation packages using the standard kernel are included in the download package of Neuron Power Engineer. There are no separate installation packages for the micro kernel because it is already included in Neuron Power Engineer.
Without activated license, you can operate the runtime system as demo version only – as a full version for 3 hours after starting the runtime system. For a longer operation, it is recommended that you request and install a license. However, it might not be necessary to install a license for target systems using the micro kernel.
